Used turtle wax brand "ICE" wax and love it

Don't know if anyone has tried using it, but I just saw the commercial for it about 2wks ago and bought some this past weekend to try it out. For those who don't know what I'm talking about, it's a liquid form of wax that comes in clear bottle called "Ice" by Turtle Wax. It's about 9 bucks a bottle, but will last a while. The selling point is that it doesn't leave those white streaks in those cracks (ex: between the hood and doors) that takes more time to reach when waxing. Nor does it leave white steaks on weatherstripping. Now you don't have to worry about getting right up to the edge w/o hitting the weatherstripping. The main thing is that it's the easiest wax job I've done w/ still that show quality shine.

Here's how to apply it:

After washing your vehicle and then drying it thoroughly, just squirt the liquid wax onto the applicator and apply to vehicle. Wait 5mins to let it set and come to a haze. Then take the microfiber towel, that was included, and using one side of it, wipe the excess wax off the vehicle. Then flip the towel and buff to a shine. That's it! I'm sure by using a buffer will produce a higher gloss, but for those quick wax jobs this stuff is great!

Outcome:

I put it on last Thurs and drove to the beach Friday afternoon ( a 5 hr trip). Messed around down there at the beach and came back on Monday. Of course the truck was nasty, but when I went to wash it, the water just beaded up and fell off! I was surprised it still held, considering it's a liquid wax and all the crap I ran into while driving. Needless to say the dirt came off easier and after washing and drying it, I applied another coat of Ice to the vehicle. It's just as smooth as the day I left. I bet if you laid on my hood, you'd slide right off!

Cool stuff. I plan to use it for while. Two thumbs up.

I`m gonna Ice my car when I run out of "Tech Wax"

My brother used Ice on his PathFinder,since there is no white pigment in the wax, you can wax plastics, rubber without worrying about the white residue staying on it.

Yes my brother even Iced his tires and they came out better then most tire dressings, Armor All, MeGuires, etc........

He even Iced the black plastic along the top of the rear bumper, and that came out looking like the piece was brandy new........

Think he said no silicon in the Ice. Worth a try....

I love 303 spray on rubber/Plastic moldings, I may Ice instead now...

today i tried the ice, i did the whole runner in less than 2 hours, i put it on wheels, mirrors, trim, bumpers: everything but the glass. i must say it left the slickest finish, but i don't know how well it will last. i would suggest waxing first to clean up the paint and then using the ice as a second step.

I haven't tried ICE - however after a recent frustration with natural carnabu wax. I did a much in-dept research on type of wax.

I am also going with ICE. why?? (1) It is 100% pure synthentic polymer and (2) readly available at your local autopart store.

How about a clay bar? Or AT LEAST a cleaner wax?? A wax will not remove contaminants from the paint. You guys are just waxing over them without removing anything. A simple wash will not remove all the contaminants embedded into your paint. The claybar will give you that smooth as glass feel...even if your truck is brand new...it came a long way from Japan.
1. Wash
2. Dry
3. Clay bar
4. Polish
5. Sealant (such as NXT...maybe ICE, I just dont know a lot about it)
6. Wax (pure carnuba)
7. Wax again (again pure carnuba)

The carnuba over the sealant will act as your sacrificial layer and give you that "pop" your looking for from your paint.

I used the Ice today on my Runner and My wifes Highlander. Did both in under an hour. I have to say I was impressed. I have been using mothers products forever. While I still believe wax is important, my truck was gleaming in no time. Its great because it can be applied to everything. I did the piece between the front and rear door windows with the little pimples on it. Looks great.

For light color - synthetic is king..

I don't think I will ever go back to the natural inferior stuff.

If you have a dark car then sucks for you - you will need the natural stuff to get that deep shine.

I applied the "Ice" to my silver truck yesterday afternoon. I couldn't get it to haze up. I waxed the front clip, waited a while and it never hazed up so I waxed the rest of the truck. Still no haze. I used the provided cloth and removed the wax pretty much blind. I could only "feel" the wax to remove it.

It did put on a good shine, better than other wax I have used? Maybe, maybe not.

I will use it again b/c it is very easy and fast but I am not sold. I am interested to see how long it lasts. I do like that you can wax it in direct sunlight. That makes this very convenient.

All in all, not a bad product. But I am very picky.

I tried ICE today on my titanium. It went on real easy, it's not thick like regular wax. Feels almost like a lubricant as you're sponging it on, like you're putting oil on or something. I did the entire 4runner, including the roof, running boards, that black piece across just below the hatch, and all the black plastic parts around the windows.

Waited for it to dry, but it didn't seem to want to dry. Very hard to see anyway on the silver color, as another mentioned here. Anyway, I began to remove it, and man, it comes off just as easily as it goes on! Wow what a timesaver! Had to go over the windows afterwards with glass cleaner, as the ICE will smear them if you get any on.

Afterwards, running your fingers over the vehicle feels like glass, like you really spent a long time waxing, perhaps even a double wax.

Overall, I'm impressed. But will it last? That is the question.

PS - The bottle says "Stop waxing, and start ICEING". But, it also says it's a polish, rather than a wax. So what the heck is this stuff?

I've used ice on my 06 sr5 for the past year and then add nxt wax to seal the deal. Before the wax ice seemed to last maybe several months but not bad for chicago weather. I'd recommend it as a polish. Easy on and off.

used their spray detailer and its on par with meguiars and mothers, but its more expensive...no better for more cash.

i saw a very indepth review of their ICE Polish/wax and while application and removal was easy (even in sun)...depth and shine were below other products.

Just wanted to say that I've been using the Turtle Wax Express Shine and it seems to do everything you say Ice does but it's a little cheaper at $5 a bottle and it comes in a spray bottle witch I like.
