User CP Errors: Editing Signature

The settings may need to be changed. I keep getting an error message that says,

"Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 5 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines."

I get it even if I take my signature down to about 1/2 it's current length. This is without pictures or anything; only text.

yeah I keep getting this too...gatorgreg, can we get some leeway here? I got too many mods on my truck to keep it to 5 lines! haha

It doesn't matter if it is 5 lines or not. If I put one like of text, I still get the same "5 line" message.

this still hasnt been adjusted, I can't even write "2001 SR5 Millennium Silver" without getting this message

anyone?

J just raised the thing below from 90 to 150, hopefully that will help. But I'm going to leave the 5 lines of text rule in effect. I'm guessing that what's going on is that if you had more than 5 lines in your sig before the software upgrade (before software could regulate it) you sort of got grandfathered in but when you try to edit it now the new software (which does have the ability to regulate it) won't allow you if you're over the limit. Sorry.

Signature Soft-Linebreak Character Limit
When counting the number of lines in a signature, this setting controls the number of characters that can be displayed before text wraps in the browser and is displayed as multiple lines. Once this value is surpassed, the run of text will be counted as multiple lines.

The value in this setting should be based on the number of normal-sized characters. Other sized characters will be scaled appropriately to this setting.

Thanks, although the "grandfather" idea was not the case. It would give me that error message even if I only placed 1 line of text. I was able to change it now though, so thanks.
