So far I've found two WSM-outlined uses of the post-OBD2 DLC1 port. Pre-OBD2 it was used for a lot of interesting things.
The two things found so far are:
ABS System Code Check - AFAIK this is only done by DLC1 port - pull Short Pin, jump Tc & E1 pins.
Engine Ignition Timing Check - jump Te1 & E1 pins, no Short Pin pull.
Attached a picture of my 1997 T4R DLC1 port Cover Diagram, and what pins populate this port (thin red lines).
What other post-OBD2 proven safe uses are there for this nifty DLC1 port?
