Uses for Storage Compartments

Haha. . is that old school? How else do you deposit money into your bank account from shady craigslist dealings?

Feed cash into automated ATM, or slap it on the counter and have the nice young lady behind the counter fill out the deposit slip for me. :thumb:

Gotcha. Yeah I like to fill it out myself so as to not worry about the lady behind the counter misprint the account. Also expedites my time in and out of the bank. . . .and as for the automated ATM....damn that system. haha

I use all my compartments, I Just wished the 4th gen had more.
Under the climate control, Stamps, Lotto tickets, parking receipts. few dollars
Above the left wheel well, Duct Tape, extra bulbs,
Above the right wheel well, Gloves, tools
Right side compartment, Road Flare's, 1st Aid kit, bungee cords, Ratcheting Straps.

Same basic stuff others mentioned in the rear. Altoids and tooth picks under the climate control nobs.

Nobody mentioned the secret compartment in the glove box, which is pretty cool. It's a secret what's in there...

Is there some secret to closing that compartment. It's the little shelf at the top, right? I can rotate it but it doesn't seem to latch shut in any way. Am I missing something? Is there an even secreter compartment I'm not aware of? :ear:

I just push mine up and it clicks into place. Perhaps your tabs are too worn are snapped off so it won't catch. By rotate you just mean move up and down right? Even the little clip you press to release and drop the compartment doesn't actually rotate in a twisting motion. It's more of a press similar to the sunglasses compartment.

Rotates as in pivots about a hinge point further back in the glove box. If someone can share a photo that points to the referenced "hidden compartment" and shows it in the open and closed position I'd finally know... anyone know if that's already been uploaded to this site?

Good to know Youtube is there for the preservation of all things in our culture,
such a service to humanity!

Mine doesn't click closed. Bummer. My secret compartment is not a secret at all.

Thanks for clarifying. I figured this was it but now I know for sure.

Is your hook worn down? I wonder if you could bend it out some. If not I bet that part can't cost more than $20-30 from Toyota.

I keep my wallet under the climate controls, it fits perfectly and my back doesn't hurt after a long drive, In the rear storage compartments above the wheel wells i have 2 ratchet straps and a tow strap. I have the JBL subwoofer in the back so I don't have the luxury of the large storage bin

Wallet under climate control

In the back - Toyota Road side kit, Toyota First aid kit, Tow strap, ice scraper, Slime Kit

Secret Compartment :AK47: :bigok:
