Using a hitch shackle

Let me see if I understand this . . . . either his rear end slid off the trail or the whole truck slid sideways . . . .

so he hooked up two pulleys to some trees using tree or recovery straps and by running the winch cable through them, he actually pulls himself sideways back up onto the trail!?!?!?

I'd love to see a video of this one.

That is pretty cool! My Highlander just got rearended a month ago (hit-and-run)...maybe i will breakdown and get one so that i can punish the next guy who rearends me!
