v6 bottom end ticking/rattle

what's up guys? I got a new problem with my 04 sport I had the head gaskets replaced back in Nov. of 2014 at 138k and a couple of days ago I noticed a rattle/ticking sound coming from under the truck in the area where the tranny and the block meet. At first the noise was only present when it was in gear and had a load on the motor/going up hill but now it does it when it is idling in park. I am stressing out because I think it is the main or rod bearings. Please help me!

I have this as well, and always have. I looked into it a while ago and figured it may be a crack in the exhaust manifold. But never figured it out conclusively.
I've raised it at 2 different Toyota dealerships and both said it sounded normal to them. Its been doing it for 3 years and over 40k miles without causing any issues..... no maybe it is normal? (Mines a V6 03 2wd Limited)

Thanks man I talked to my toyormechanic and he thinks it is one of the idler pulleys so ya might wanna check ours to I will let you know what I figured d eventually.

Well apparently we don't have same issue that you have because now I'm left with the option of replacing the engine or doing a crankshaft and bearings and hoping for the best FML the mechanic seems to think it is the #6 rod bearing since when the head gasket went out , that was the cylinder that the coolant was getting into, so now does anybody out there have an engine for sale?

Yes it does, its gonna be about a $3000 hit , I am so lucky that my girlfriend is really good at saving money and she said she would take care of it smh man I love her . We actually took this truck to Asheville back in the winter, we went to the Orange Peel for a Halestorm concert and stayed at the Aloft it was pretty awesome and Asheville is a beautiful city.
