v6 or v8 upgrade

I am about to pick up a 1st gen 4r... not gonna keep the stock 22re- I had a friend with a buick v6 in his 1st gen but it got stolen. I would like to do the same. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Motor/tranny suggestions, suspension upgrades, I also need to find a replacement fiberglass top (can't find one anywhere!!). Wouldn't mind putting a decent v8 in it either, but I don't know if I can fit it, that and don't know if I can get springs big enough! Anyone had any luck???

Your easy swap is the 3.4L V6 Toyota and many have done the 350 Chevy small block V8. depends on your Fab skills.

Ihave info on the 3.4L if you want but as far as the 350SB you might want to search over on Yotatech or 4X4.
