Howdy.
I have a '92 with 35k on a rebuilt engine. When I start it up it rattles for just a second. I can get the same rattle consistently even when the engine is warmed up. It sounds to me like it is somewhere in the top end but I could be mistaken. It happens around 2500-3000 rpms. If I rev it by hand I get the rattle and I can find the spot where it continues to rattle until the rpms change. When I bought it (two weeks ago) the rattle was very loud. After I changed the oil it deminished slightly.
I've also noticed that if I pull one particular plug wire, the rattle is constant at lower rpms and more prominent at higher rpms.
Any ideas about what it could be?
Thanks,
Justin
