V6 vs. V8 -- 05 vs. 06?

Talk about an abscure subject line...

I've been looking for an 05 lately (bacause of the silly black rook rack that wasn't around in 04 and earlier) and it seems I find a lot of V6 trucks and fewer V8.

Does anyone have an opinion about the real difference (other than 2 MPG)? Is the V6 underpowered?

Any other differences between the 04 and 05 I should know about?

V6 and V8 have been discussed many times on the forum. Do a search and you'll find all the opinions.
