This is probably not the right thread for this discussion, but fwiw, I just paid $13500 for a 2008 V8 Limited 4WD with 196k miles from a dealer in the L.A. area (prices will depend somewhat on location). I can't speak to reliability on a vehicle I've only owned for 2 weeks and driven maybe 75 miles in, but I'm not expecting trouble any time soon and everything sounds like it's working properly.
Only "problem" I've had so far is the center diff lock not responding, but that turned out to be due to the switch having been disconnected at some point. Considering the tires that are on it, I'm doubting the previous owner did much real off-road driving and probably never used the locker.
