V8 conversion

Maybe Singtoe will give you a ride in his baby. I think he is in Clayton.

The cheapest I was able to find for an OEM replacement was $56 and shipping for one back in December.

I want to say thanks for this thread. Read it many moons ago and since I need to pad my post count in order to get help on something, I might as well say something.

Oh and after 235K, I had a heater valve hose let go. It was catastrophic!

Stop by, I am where Business 70 and 70 cross on the left.

I was gonna to try to stop by tomorrow but since it snowed sunday night and I was traveling from the mountains, I had to take yesterday off. I do plan on stopping by sometime soon and checking it out. Is your shop open on the weekends? I work at a toyota dealership in wilson. I could hook you up with oem parts if you ever needed some.

Sweet. The toyoyota hook up. I am open 10 to 6 Tuesday through Saturday...

Love the build thread and love the v8 conversion! Would you happen to have the plans for the winch plate set up? Or if I purchase the plate would ya be able to make the same mounting plate system? I live out in Chapel Hill NC, not to far from ya :)

I love the thread but sheesh I wish it was condensed lol!

Singtoe wanna get flown down south to help wrench with mine!?

Odd, my supercharger comes on strong at low RPM's... You're a smart guy so I bet I'm wrong, but are you thinking of a turbo?

My 4Runner makes ~230 WHP and 285 WTQ. The torque does continue to climb (not completely flat) and I bet the low end grunt of the V8 torque would be desirable but perhaps not as noticeable as you believe?

In any case, I think a D4D conversion is on my wish list. Diesel is where it's at.

You are correct, a SC is instant power where a Turbo has lag.

This thing is awesome! Might have to scoot down the road and talk with you whenever my engine or trans go tits up. Sitting on 384k all original right now. I'm nearby in Cary at 40 and 64.

I'll shoot you a PM with some questions. Thanks for the awesome documentation!

After just getting a 99 4Runner LTD and reading for days on the forum, this is the best truck I've seen. Especially love the hidden winch and running boards! I'm not too far away in Charlotte!

V8 swap with a Supercharger and more fuel injectors. It is definitely up there in terms of modifying the stock setup on this forum. Most build threads are special because of their suspension setups; Singtoe did it a bit different.

Oh it will happen. But once I get the Honeydew list done. I am currently expanding the house for a home theater room, so this where my weekends are booked for a while.

ok, we gave you a bit of time... quite using the Camry as a daily and part it out... lol

Hope all is well.

My first post here and man do I have alot or reading to do. My plans are swaping a 99 4.7 into a 95 4runner. Here in ny emissions are 96 and up. Great read so far just looking to find any videos of this build?
