V8 tranny for v6 model

So im not as smart when it comes to things like this as others, hence me asking.

But i was wondering is it doable to take a 4thgen v8 4wd tranny and swap it to a 4th gen v6 4wd? Reason being..i do plan to add a lot more hpand torque..and was wondering since mine is slipping..is it possible and worth it.

Well, your V6 should have the same 5spd the V8 got. Not sure if you mean you want to convert your 4WD to all-time, in which case all you need to do is put it in 4Hi as its the samething. The big difference between the V8 and V6 in your case is the gears in the differentials. I'll double check on the transmission gearing, but I think its the same; though even if it was different it's designed to match the torque band of the engine and the V6 is higher than the V8.
