Valor Tip - Stop sale??

Hey all,

I ordered a Valor tip through my dealer the other day. The parts guy called me back and said there was a "stop sale" condition placed on the part and he would not be able to get it.

Through some networking the information I was told is that all the tips in the Toyota channel are going back to the ports since the ports don't have enough supply of them.

Anyone have a recommended supplier who is reasonable in price and reliable in delivery? (Ebay didn't look very great as far as price)

Thanks!

There are always a couple of the Valor tips out there.

Dude, did you even read my whole post? I saw many on Ebay, but they were all buy-it-now for $45+ and shipping around $15! $60 is a little steep for an exhaust tip.

A lot of dealers stock these so you might want to call around and see if any local guys have it in stock. I got mine from my dealer and paid the same price on partznet by printing out the page and asking them to match the price--and I did not have to pay shipping to boot!

I put the stainless tip from Wal-Mart (<$20) on my 4R. I think it looks better than the Valor (its slightly angled rather than flat at the tip). It's holding up well after going through last winter's slush - still shines up clean and it fits over the stock exhaust perfectly.

All I see on eBay is around $50 plus or minus a couple dollars with shipping, which is typical of this exhaust tip. I don't know where you see $60. If you think you can get it for much less, be patient and wait for the right deal. This is the kind of thing where you either want one or not. $50 is nothing for a peice of bling. Try new wheelsets, or a lift, or set of tires. That would be worth saving some money on.

I don't find that price to be all that steep for something that you want.

Depending on what they try to get for shipping/handling that's a pretty good price.

the shhipping wasn't to bad at all, mine was shipped to California and still way way down below the retail price if i am to buy it here at a nearest dealership.
