Value opinion 2006

Car is rom the north. I live in North Alabama. Some minor surface rust around bolts and brackets but nothing structural. Silver 2006 body is a 9 out of 10 with minor branch scratches and a couple small dings. Full service history on the 157,xxxx miles from 2007. Autocheck shows no accident history and only one owner with a clear title. Runs smooth and strong V6 SR5 4WD. All functions work from the lights, alarm, 4 wheel hi and lo with no cluncking noises. Interior is pretty nice, after I steam cleaned the seats and carpet. Only mod is an Eclipse Nav/Cd/Dvd with a aux port for the phone. Bushings and shocks look good and act right. Tires have about 8,000 miles on them so a lot of life left. Daughter wanted a mid size SUV as she felt more comfortable driving it vs a smaller car. She's fixing to turn 16.
What do you think the fair market value is on this vehicle? I think a 2wd model would have sufficed but came across this one and negotiated for 2 weeks. She will probably never even put it in 4wd mode but oh well. Your thoughts on its value?

You can't pay for someone's emotional attachment to a vehicle, so I wouldn't pay a dime more than Good condition retail value via the average of nada and kbb. I have no idea what that price is but keep in mind the vehicle is about to be 10 years old (2016's will get released in 5 months so it will depreciate again shortly by these indexes when that happens...)

If you can get it less than the good condition retail price (for your zip code), buy it and put it in 4wd and give the keys to your daughter and tell her to have fun.

I have a similar runner for sale. It is a Sport edition though with 123,000 miles. Interior good with the usual scratches outside. 1 owner, I'm asking $11,000, realistically I'd take $9-10,000. When the new TEP gets here, I'll trade and hoping to get $9,000. Considering yours is the sr5 with higher mileage I would think it would be worth ~$8,000 IMO.
