Valve Cover Gaskets info in FSM?

I've been getting everything ready for my upcoming valve cover gasket replacement job and I wanted to go ahead and print out the pages from the factory service manual so that way I had all the torque specs and everything.

well I spent a lot of time looking around, a lot of time searching, and a lot of time looking on the web and I can't for the life of me figure out which section has the information on the valve covers. The only thing I know is that people on the valve covers themselves is extremely low and specific, just this is so critical I definitely want to make sure I've got the right information.

Does anyone know where in the FSM it details the valve covers?

It's listed with cylinder head R&R.

It's not all listed in one neat little area in the FSM. You have to search through the EM (Engine Mechanical) pages to find all the related pages or you could just use our video as a tutorial because we list all the torque specs you'll need for the job.

Tim I think I'll watch your video a couple times and try to memorize the data and write it down. when I'm done I'll try to put it into a nice document and maybe upload it for others

Watch Tim’s videos and it will answer 99.9% of any questions or details related to the VCG or other projects he has documented.
I search his YouTube site for whatever topic as a first step on all my projects.

Well, if you were considering getting your fuel injectors refurbished or replaced by some refurbished ones at some point, this would be the time to do it. Motorwest Performance which we link in the Injector Video is a solid choice for injectors. Other than that, there is the knock sensors which are under the intake manifold that can go bad but I would probably wait until you have an issue with one of your knock sensors. Refurbished fuel injectors do make a difference with the performance of your motor so it's not a bad idea to do but it will cost you some extra coin that maybe you don't want to spend money on right now.

Ah I actually already aquired some from the guy you recommended in another thread. Motorwest that is.

I'm actually curious about any kind of performance increase even though it's not the goal period definitely will be a nice bonus. I recently swapped out my worn out spark plugs for the nkg's from Toyota and holy crap I'm up to 19.75 mpg now! So I'm wondering if swapping the injectors will push her to 20.

If not though I'll still take any power increase or at least a smoother engine
