good time to check your valves as well. adjustment is a little hard but atleast you know if your valves are within specs or not and decide if your gonna get them done or tackle it yourself

ok after 7 hours of pain in the ass work i ended up with no pictures. but i did get finished, i even broke a bolt because i read on here that u put the valve cover to 18 ft lbs and actually it was only 48 inches of torque or whatever. i had a mechanic look at the valves he spent like 20 minutes checking them and doing a lil checking and he said they were good This was a first time big job i ever did by myself. My father isnt here to help me anymore so i just have to make due with what i have. but luckily the mechanics at the shop here on post answered my questions i had also heres a link i used to help me alot alot!!!! now i have a hissing sound from my engine :redbrick: i checked all my vaccum hoses and they are correct. But my PCV hose pipe has a split and im 90% sure thats were the hiss is coming from but i cant go buy the hose because it has like a a sharp U in it. Where can i purchase one at?

best place for a hose like that would be the dealer. maybe a auto store but they will only have hoses not shaped

I ordered 2 foot of Pcv hose so hopefully I can get around it. But I'm waiting on the engine to cool down. Also when I give it gas it kinda.skips and.sputters. Damn vaccuum lines I musta hooked them up wrong :/ anyone have pics or a diagram

everything you need to know about hoooking the hoses back up, i noticed they were numbered and i hooked them all back up correctly now the truck runs good!!
