Vehicle Break In

At what point do you notice the 'Break In' of a vehicle like T4R 05 V6?

I think the manual says around 5,000 miles is the break in period. I noticed my truck starting to get the optimal gas mileage and really feels like it is broken in after 10,000 miles.

According to my manual, the break-in period is 1,000km (620 miles).

They say you should drive it smoothly, and not exceed 100 km/h.

The break-in for the brakes is 200km (125 miles). The manual advises not to make violent stops, and to do this every time you change brake pads, to allow proper adjustment between rotor and pad.
