Vehicles you've totaled!!!

I did a quick search and saw some individual threads but nothing devoted stricktly to totaled rides.

A couple rules:

1. It has to be YOUR vehicle. No grabbing random pictures from a google search.

2. It has to be a vehicle YOU wrecked.

4. List how/why it happened. (No reason we can't make this a learning experience.)

3. No pics of a stock Chevy HHR. Those aren't wrecked, that's just the way they normally look.

I'll start us off with my 97 Ford Explorer Sport... I swear that utility pole wasn't there the day before. (taken 2005)

Result of a few days of heavy snow, Cincinnati and their traditionally horrid snow removal and me being me. I tried to pass someone who was being overly cautious on my way home and the other driver began to speed up and wouldn't let me over. Before I knew it the road was snow covered and there was a bend in the road.

They didn't let you over? S**theads! Did they stop after? Did you get a chance to let them know how you felt about that?:rockthrow:

Alright! This is my kind of thread! I think technically I've only totaled 1 vehicle but I have crashed more than I can remember from dirt bikes to HMMWVs. My most recent was my 4Runner in October of '08. I was driving on a typical 2 lane road with a 45 mph speed limit when a Honda Accord stopped to make a left hand turn. A GMC Yukon did not go around the Accord and instead stopped behind it (legally what you are supposed to do, but I proved why you shouldn't). I failed to notice the Yukon had stopped completely and I slammed my brakes but it was too late. I skidded and veered to the right but did not have enough room and smashed into the back of the Yukon. The Yukon's body on frame design transferred my energy nicely into the back of the Accord and created another victim. My airbags did not deploy and thankfully there was no need for an ambulance. The Yukon driver reported some minor injury apparently because I had to get issued a ticket even though I knew the cop from work. My runner was declared a total loss by the parent company AIG and I negotiated a nice payout for me even after the deductible and buyback. The runner is back on the road and rockin a shiny sport hood now thanks to my brother's collision repair expertise and parts discounts! Overall I learned that insurance companies will bend you over if you are flexible and that I am one reckless gdsob.

I don't have any pictures of it after it was totalled but I'll post the before picture. Basically I was in the process of turning left when a motorcylce came up behind me and was not going to get stopped in time. In trying to go around me, his foot peg cut a gash in the sheet metal from the rear wheel well to the front wheel well... (This car was stock when I got it, and I added the wheels and lights... I know it's rice but I was 16 so it's ok:thumb3:)

I rolled a 94 Camaro z28 into a grocery store parking lot when I swerved to miss some lady that pulled out in front of me (I may have been going a tiny bit too fast in her defense)

A year after that, I threw my little ninja 250 over a car that pulled out in front of me from a high school parking lot lol.

Don't have pics of either of em, but I got a few scars from the last one :thumb3:
