All I have to say is poor Greg :/

I am in no means a veteran of any sort, even though my post count is high, most if is useless lol.

I think Greg does not have bad intentions, the guy just wants someone to shoot the sh-it with on his level. I get it.
No need for everyone to bash the idea, how is that any different than bashing a new, it's still bashing. If he wan'ts a Veteran's blog, so be it. If [MENTION=65614]Antman[/MENTION] want's a Tata sub-section, shall be it, I mean so be it :redface:

I see Greg contributing to the forum as much, if not more than most other people. The guy deserve's some credit and if it's in a "veterans thread" , that's great.

I disagree with the 100 post minimum, sure, but that's just an opinion.
If it was up to me, I would give [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] his own subforum, the guy posts more Facts about sales and mathematical facts than any other member.

Just recently, I learned how side air bags work thanks to his explanation.

Thanks Danny. I really don't care if we have a specific section or not. If pigs fly, and the new guys quit thinking T4R.org is T4R.gov offering an entitlement program for the thinking impaired then we would be fine.

The problem is, how do you know somebody with 8 posts and just joined 2 weeks ago isn't capable of being "on his level"? Maybe that guy is an engineer too. Maybe he's a fabricator that builds trucks for the Hammers. Or maybe he's just a regular offroad enthusiast that's been building his own rigs in his driveway for decades and just happened to buy a 4Runner.

My point is, segregating the forum based on post count and time of membership doesn't add any value.

I'd much more be on-board for an "18 & over" lounge. The other site I'm on calls it "Seriously OT" where basically anything goes. You must agree to the terms before being allowed to see that sub-forum.

Perception is everything my friend. How you feel about this thread maybe how other people feel about other threads and If everyone went up in arms every single time someone wants to start a thread, it would be a *virtual blood bath.

Limiting freedom of expression, on the internet out of all places is just ludicrous to me. Again, that's my opinion and again to each is own. Right? Right!

I'm not discrediting your knowledge or experience AT ALL. I've seen plenty of your posts and you are very knowledgeable. But the difference between me and somebody like you is that if you were to join the forum I mainly frequent where I have a few thousand posts, I wouldn't raise my nose at you and have a feeling of superiority based on the artificial status meter under your username.
