Vibration in the gas pedal and floor
Hello fellow 4Runner owners-
I am new to this site and I just bought a new 2006 4WD SR5
4Runner about a month ago and I have some questions that maybe all of you have experienced.
When driving my 4Runner (now w/ 2K miles on it) at highway
speeds...there is a high frequency vibration that comes through
the accelerator pedal and the floor board where your feet hit the ground while driving....
This is not a violent vibration, rather a vibration at a higher frequency..... it has become such a nuicence that it actually makes
my feet numb if I drive the vehicle for more than 20 minutes. I am thinking that it is the vibration from the engine....it almost feels like the motor mounts are shot or are bolted stright to the frame...it feels like there is no insulation from the engine vibration.
Has anyone else experienced this??
My only approach at this point is to get the vehicle to 5k miles and change the oil to Amsoil full syntheic, change the tranny fluid to full synthetic as well in hopes that that might do away with some of the vibration.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Cheers.
