Suspension Maintenance Suggestions
So, like most 4Runners, I have a vibration that gets really bad over about 50 MPH, and then a really bad shake when braking. I feel less vibration as I brake harder, and I have replaced the rotors recently, so I don't think it's the rotors. I do want to do the Tundra upgrade, but that's later. The vibration can be felt throughout, but primarily in the steering wheel.
I know one of my ball joints is visibly worn, so I am planning to replace both upper and lower BJ's with OEM Toyota parts. I have also considered doing the TRE's, but they are pretty expensive.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to find a fix for this? It feels unsafe, and is extremely annoying.
For what it's worth, I'm running 265/75 Kumhos on stock SR5 rims. I want to get ProComp 8069's eventually, don't know if that will help or not in terms of balancing. I have also replaced the steering rack bushings.
Secondly, my front end dips really, really bad when braking. I assume it's shocks, but I've also heard that worn out/unadjusted rear brakes could be the culprit. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
