Vibration while driving after lift change

Well the lift is now all changed up.........but i'm havng a few issues. when driving down the road between 40 and 55pmg, there is a pronounced vibration throughout the vehicle. I can't feel it through the steering wheel but you can hear the dash start to rattle and the pulsing of the vibration is very fast and speeds up. best way I can describe this........make a sound like a rattle snake lol. Thats how fast it is and then goes away after 60mph or so. Also feels like it is having a hard time accelerating during this time as well.

I know I need the alignment done and the trac bar, which by the way is like 2 inches farther to the right. I'm hoping thats the issue and that the adjustable trac bar is the solution.

Things installed: OME 882's with top outs, OME 861's with OEM LC shocks, diff drop

Any ideas?

I would almost say wheels. Are your rims lug centric? That's all I can think of...

As far as suspension possibility related... wait for a better opinion.

im stilling wondering if its pushed over to one side could the u joints be binding causing the vibration

Oh man its pushed to one side alright. some people say they get like a half inch or so.......i'm guessing theres about a 2 inch difference at least towards the passenger side. I will try to get pics.

at this point im open to suggestions of anything to fix it. just want to make sure its safe and i'm not damaging the vehicle by driving it.

How close are your tires to the control arm now?

with the lift, it usually drops the upper control arm which can then rub against wheels/tires depending on the wheels/backspacing etc.

When I first did my lift, I had my coilovers cranked so tight, I actually had a part of the upper balljoint that was vibrating into the spring.

but if your back end is 2" over from where it was, theres another issue...

wow, I may be .25 to .5 inch over with 9 wraps and a stock panhard.

Well the tires still clear the UCA so i don't think thats it. I will check the ball joint in the morning though. I took some pics so here they are. also included the sway bar angle, could that have anything to do with it?

Also......would the diff drop have any effects like this?

You put 315/75-16 tires on your truck? Is there any rubbing anywhere?

It sounds like you need to get an alignment and while it is getting the alignment, make sure the tires are balanced. Once you do that, vibrations should go away.

Yeah, don't get worried until after your alignment. That's a huge change to the suspension and it needs to be adjusted to it. Your rear axle doesn't look that bad to me in the pics. One pic is a lot closer than the other so it's hard to tell for sure, but measure it, it looks like it's only ~.5" off to me.

Lets get some side pics of that thing with the 882s/861s and 35s!

I'm headed to the tire place today to have them check the weights. if that doesn't fix it, should I order the adjustable trac bar then get an alignment?

Screw the tire weights for now, an alignment is absolutely a necessity after any lift. When you push the control arms down (which is what a lift does) it totally changes the camber of your front tires meaning the top of the tire goes outward and the bottom of the tire goes inward. Don't worry about tire balance unless you still have a problem after the alignment. This happens to everyone after a lift. Plus you just got thse tires mounted and balanced, they're good.

Nope, the front is the only thing we align on our trucks. Rear lift will affect the front alignment because of the rake, but the lateral position of the rear axle has nothing to do with aligning the front.

Yet shops charge for a 4 wheel alignment. :AK47: lol
I will get it done and see if that fixes it.

alignment done........still vibrating. Starting to notice it even happens a little at 15mph and seems to only increase under acceleration. Driveline maybe?

Here is a better shot of how far the tires stick out plus a shot of the cv angles
