At around 60-65 on a level highway, im getting a pretty good amount of vibration from the steering wheel, im thinking one of the tires are out of balance...but with only 325 miles? Am i supposed to feel more of the road driving a truck now?(coming from an 07 camry) or should I wait to about 1000 miles and let everything settle in? thanks

I would definitely take it back to the dealer to have your wheels rebalanced for a start. Which tires did you get? The Dunlaps or the Bridgestones?

I will second that, that is not part of the normal break in or drive. Go to the dealer, tell them whats going on and they should fix it for free.
Try not to put it off also as driving with out of balance tires is not only annoying its bad for your car, and any damage that does will not be covered like the tire is

Hey it's just the tires out of balance. I have a small vibration also but can only be felt on a very smooth and flat road. I have a limited with bridgestones. My tires have a ton of weight stuck to rims and that right their speaks to the quality of the tires. I plan on changing mines to michelin ltx m/s 275/55/20 You can make the dealer rebalance the tires and also replace the tires until you are vibration free. I had a dealer replace my tires on my ford truck and after trying multiple tire places could never get the stock tires balanced right and give up and just bought michelin tires. Problem solved but my wallet was lighter.:ybrick:

yes, if there is a bunch of snow/ice packed into the wheel, it's going to cause an out-of-balance problem.

Had the same issue....seems to have leveled out from the original problem...I have about 1500 mls.
To be honest it rides very much like a truck and there is quite a bit off feed back from the steering. There is more feed back then on my excursion but I had upgraded Rancho steering stabilizer shocks.
I had one tire that wasn't balanced on the front. Got it rebalanced yesterday at a local tire place and now the ride is vibration free on the highway.My vibration was so light that my wife couldn't feel it.

checked all the rims, no ice- so it just needs a balancing ( i hope), my brakes are beginning to act a little screwy as well, making a lot of noise( sounds like air ) when i press on the pedal, seems very loose, the pedal can go halfway before the car brakes entirely, like it as some play- just isnt right, hopefully the dealer can correct these issues on saturday. Hope none of you guys are having the same problem!

It has to be the balancing of a tire or tires. This happened in my '03 Explorer and balancing was all it needed. My SR5 rides completely vibration free and I have at least 1,200 miles on it.
Regarding the brakes, I hear the same sound and it does feel like the push on the brakes is the same - about halfway. I can tell you that all of this is normal. You'll get used to the brakes over time. Also, just a little tip about the brakes (in case you didn't know). The transmission works hand in hand with the brakes when going down an incline. While traveling down a hill, slightly tap the brakes and the transmission automatically downshifts. This was never the case with my '03 Explorer - always had to use brakes going down the hill and transmission never downshifted in this scenario.
I had a balance issue with the OEM tires on my then new 3rd gen 4Runner. I took it back to the Dealer, and they balanced the tires three times trying to get rid of the imbalance. They never were successful.
In disgust at their inability to fix the problem, or offer any other resolution, I went to a tire store and got rid of those crappy Goodyear Wrangler RT/S's.
The Michelin LTX M/S's I went with were a dramatic improvement.

So i went to the dealer this morning, they confirmed that the tires were off balance, so they balanced them and rotated them. Service manager comes up to me and tells me that the tires are more "aggressive" and they are supposed to shake at 60mph?that im supposed to get the play in the steering wheel, wtf? he said he can try and call toyota to get me michelins which are a road tire for a smoother ride. cmon man one week, and this BS, i shouldve went for a highlander or a venza, if i could get my money back or dump this car i would now.

The service manager is an idiot. I have more aggressive tires than has ever come stock on a 4Runner, and they run very smooth. Toyo Open Country A/T 6-ply LT's. They aren't a mud tire, but they are more aggressive than the P-rated all-seasons that come stock on 4Runners.
I'd suggest going to a good tire store like Discount Tire, etc. Ask what they will give you in trade for your nearly new OEM tires, get a good tire mounted and balanced the way they should be, and enjoy your now smooth riding truck.

Because the tires either still aren't balanced properly, or it is possible that they have defects in their construction, and can't be properly balanced.
If the Dealer is willing to swap out to the Michelins that were mentioned, I'd let them give it a try.
As I said, I had a similar experience with an incompetent, or just uncaring Dealer years ago when my 'Runner was new. Taking matters into my own hands by going to an independent tire store and getting rid of the OEM tires, solved my issues.
