Vin number ID

Did I read where you can put the Vin number in a site and see the equipment on it when new, like a 2008 sport 4 runner v6 ?

if you want a copy of the old toyota decoder that they removed from their site pm me. The toyota decoder works well up to 2006 or so.

Any Toyota dealer can do that for you. They can look up your VIN in the system and tell you which options came with it from the factory.

That information is also available on the Internet (Toyota Tech Info System, http://techinfo.toyota.com), but you have to pay for access.

A simple VIN decode like mentioned above will tell you if it's 2WD or 4WD, V6 or V8, and SR5 or Sport vs. Limited. (SR5 and Sport have the same ID in the VIN, only Limited is different.)
