Looks like bro bumpers to me.
Haha... yeah, guess it suits specific tastes. I think there stuff looks pretty good on the chevy's and fords.. Even the FJ on their site looks sick!
looks good, It's cool there using Steel A36 but im assuming its thin though because they call out the bracket thickness @ 1/4" but not the bumper plate thickness, I tryed to find there slidders but didnt have any luck where were you seeing there slidders at? and i couldnt find any prices on the web page as well so im guessing you spoke with someone there about there products, did they give a thickness call out on the bumper plating? With the research I've done I'll probably go with shockworks or demello and just have it sent to me without hoops or finish for like $800. i can weld on hoops if i want and the company i work for has a place we can source powder coat but i'll likly go with a bed liner material. an i just ordered up 4xinnovations slidders a week ago but they seem to be taking there time to get here paid $220 with shipping and DOM upgrade, i got there slidders just cause they seem to use them and they seem to work, plus once again they're shipped unfinished so i can weld them on how i like and add any extra plating i feel like. I can offer up my welding ability to ya superman we still need to get to uhwarrie before it gets to hot!!
I'm assuming it's 3/16" plate or under since they mention "lightweight". Pretty sure that's what Demello uses too and I think Shrocks' is a 1/8". The sliders and prices are not listed. I just emailed them for the quote. They didn't mention the thickness on the quote but I think the total weight of the bumper is 110# so just figure. It looks like the 2 popular choices among forum members are Shrockworks and Demello and after doing my research I'm leaning toward Demello myself for a bumper and sliders. I like the look and that it's lighter weight than the Shrockworks. Also, there are a lot more Shrockworks bumpers on here than Demello, so it's a little different. Not to mention price. I'm gonna do like you on the sliders though and order Demello's DIY kit and finish it in bedliner.
Appreciate your kind jesture yet again on the welding brother. It's one of those things that I've been wanting to learn forever but just haven't took the time to do. Fortunately I've got access to a wealth of talent when it comes to welding and machining. I'm fortunate in that aspect. I was going to design my own bumper, but just can't seem to find the time to do it.
The more I read your posts the more similarities I'm seeing between you and I. We're both Mechanical Engineers, our trucks are both white, V8's with black wheels and identical grilles. And now I just read one you posted about your wife driving a mustang and working nights at the hospital. Mine owned a Stang before she got the Honda and she works nights at the hospital as well. Crazy!
Anyway, I was trying to go this month to Uwharrie, but the wife has to work every weekend except this coming one. I can see if she want's to head up there this weekend though. Would you be down for that?
I've got new CV axles that I've got to put in, but That can wait.
It's been discussed here before but no one has ordered from them yet.
Yeah Matt, when I searched them a couple of links that you posted came up, but never found any real good discussion. Maybe somebody will pull the trigger with these guys.
