viper 791XV alarm & starter

any body here have the viper 791XV installed in their truck.
I'll like to know what you think about the system.

I'm actually looking at getting the same. I was quoted about $550 including installation. The installer said I'd also have to get the bypass kit and lose one of my keys.

A friend of mine got this put on his wifes 98 4Runner. It's a nice alarm. The remote start has an impressive range too.... I'm just about sold on the whole thing.

I was quoted $550 also, that's an extra $50 for the bypass. However, it only comes with one remote for the alarm. At the shop near me, the standard remote is like $75 and the two-way is $125. You can find them on ebay much cheaper, and the shop will charge $10 to program it.

I put in plenty of these alarms. That's about right. The bypass is 50 which is right. I had one in my old truck.. I love the thing, works awesome.

I would look into Compustar, this what I have installed and its about the best you can get.. It won innovation awards the last three years..

If you really want an alarm, you want the Clifford G5. It's got tons of features. Alot of people don't carry it, because it's a expensive system. You can even plug it up to Window's Os and Custom adjust all sorts of things with it. Excellent system.
