I recently bought a Viper 5701 and had it installed at a local audio shop(Audio FX, Georgetown,Tx/Austin Area). I purchased the 529T and 530T window modules to retain the rear window roll up functions, but the shop told me that the window roll up modules wouldnt work for the 4runner. Is this true? Any help or recommendation would be great... Is there a reputable shop here in the Austin area? Thanks in advance...

I just bought my 06 4runner in November. I bought the viper 5901 and two 530t's. 06 4runner remote start, windows this site is very helpful. I think the wire colors were all correct for the windows but maybe a few were switched as far as which wire was up and which was down. Make sure just to test them first. As far as the rear window is concerned I just used a couple of relays and two of the outputs on the alarm and I can make it go up and down. I tapped into the wires at the switch. The only thing about that is I have to have the car started for that to work. Now I just need to go back and figure out how to make it do that with the key off. As far as the Austin area goes I have no idea about the shops over there. I will ask around.

I have a 06 sport. I just installed my clifford. I have mine working with the a 529t, using aux it will roll it all the way down and when I arm it the window will roll up. Since installing it the window seems to be a lot slower rolling up any ideas? My installer said it's the motor getting warm but that doesn't really make sense to me since I never had this issue before with just the normal switch or key fob.
