I'm headed out to Hanover County to pick up some tires for my yota. Anyone know of any solid shops around the area where I can get them mounted and aligned for my ride home? I've heard horror stories about tire places. I'm willing to pay whatever for honesty and workmanship.

I would tell you to bring it to the dealership I work at in Newport News, but we don't install customer supplied parts anymore after more than a few nightmares.

Dammit. LOL I was JUST there over the holidays and needed some minor work done. At least now I know where I can go when I'm there next, and if I need some work. :)

Doesn't bother me; actually, that helps even more, as

a) you're obviously a Toyota guy but
b) while I'm now a Toyota guy, we also own a 2004 F150 and a 2008 Fusion SE. :)

I've not had any 'real' issues yet - I need to have a pulley replaced, I believe, and some other minor preventive stuff, but that's it.

If I'm in town in the future I'll look you up if I need anything or am just driving through - I used to live just down the road (@ The Harbours) off of Jefferson Road. :)

Yeah I'm not really a Ford guy, but they pay me, so I work here. In a few months I'll be transferring to the body shop, but I'll still be able to help you out, as our new body shop will have a QuickLane Service Center in it as well.

Actually, neither am I. (Seriously.) What I am, however, is a 'stats' guy.

In 2004, I'd had enough of my 2002 Ram 1500 after its SEVENTEENTH time in the shop. (Fifth for the same issue...and yes, I know about lemon laws.)

Well, the most reputable dealership was a nearby Ford dealership; I knew half the guys there. I've now got 157K on my F150, and I've had to replace the driver's side mirror and the rear left blinker bulb. That's it. As far as the Fusion goes, the stats said it was as reliable as the Camry; and so far we've been insanely happy with it. :)

This being said...in the future if we have to purchase any new or slightly used vehicle it will almost certainly be a Toyota. :)

Yeah when we are at a break even point on my wifes Mazda 3, it will be sold quick as possible, and replaced by another 4Runner.
