Did a lot of research on this and found a guy who tried to fit 16x8 -20 mm te37x. It rubbed on the brake caliper and dust shield. Too much of a hassle for me.
I really love the flat te37x too.

That'll be even worse if the rub is on the face of the caliper. It's the inside circumference of the wheel that's causing it to rub. That why 17s are needed unless you basically go -1000 mm offset so that it's pushed out so far it won't touch anything.

Only if they came in 17". The FN, slight convex and thinner spokes throws it off for me vs the Volks.

Mackin Industries (the sole Volk importer in the US) has extremely strict MAP pricing policies so you will get the same price pretty much anywhere you look. Try calling Evasive, Vivid Racing or THmotorsports directly.
Volk TE-37XT now an option...
Sorry to ignite an old thread. I thought some of us might find this information useful. So Volk/Rays now offers a 17" variant of the TE-37X (flat faced spokes) which is called the TE-37XT:
Two versions available (both of which come in various offsets, as well as 18" if you desire):
Standard: (has a pin stripe around the circumference of the rim):
RAYS - The concept is racing. [en]
M-Spec: (no pin-stripe):
RAYS - The concept is racing. [en]
I ordered the M-Spec in 17x8 offset 0, blast black. Just received them. So broke now.. lol.
Purchased from European Auto Source in Anaheim, CA. Very nice guys.

If anybody is wondering, the M-Spec (no diamond cut line) means it's an export (from japan) only. So, it's not sold locally to Japan.
I looked into these and they're a hair cheaper than the te37s.
The te37s, all-in, were $4620CAD whereas the te37XTs were $4389CAD all-in. Where I live in Canada only has 5% sales tax (no PST). The rays site says they come in 18s but I've never seen them in 18s -my friend's shop that orders the majority of the volks in the city also says he's never been able to get his hands on the 18s either. So if you find them, they're pretty hard to come by (for now?).
