Voodoo Blue 4Runner?

Yeah yeah it's a horrible editing job. Just a quicky to get an idea. I'm a huge fan of the FJ's Voodoo Blue and have yet to see it on a 4Runner. Plan is to pull off the skirts and flares and Rhino Line them also front and rear bumpers will be gone, front is on it's way from Addicted Offroad.

I'm lookin into getting a cheap paint job from Sprayglo or Maaco. No sense in dropping too much $ since it's going right back in the woods, just want an original look. My clear is peeling off the hood and fenders are fading. Got a few dings I'd like to see gone as well.

I guess I'm digging for opinions and maybe a gifted photoshopper to fix my mangled pic if it's not a bother. How much do you think it will cost? $300-500? That's about all I'd throw at it. This local SprayGlo is supposed to be reall good as far as cheap paint shops go. I've seen some of their work and they did a good prep job, no over spray and nice finish. Not show car quality but that's not what I'm looking for.

If you know of another 4Runner that's already done this, I'll be bummed that mine won't be original but I'd still do it and like to see some pics.:artist2:

Personally- would never get a paint job done @ Maaco. Have known many people who have and paint looks like hell a year or 2 later.... My buddy had his car painted by them and there was lots of overspray in the corners and stuff. Just my opinion.

As far as price goes- they usually start around $300 and go up from there. At least that my pricing here and thats if your clear isn't peeling. If clear is peeling it's goes up. Simple solution- run it by there one day and have them give you a quote. IT'S FREE!

I'd love to see how this would turn out though! FJ's look really good in it, would be interested to see how a 4runner would turn out.

If you prep it really well, it can come out nice, or else you get a $300 paint job.

The 2nd photoshop looks purple on my computer. Either way I think it will look pretty hideous, but hey you wanted opinions. If you like it then I say do it, but I wouldn't. If anything I would go for the FJC tan color.

Yeah that's what I was planning on, doing all the prep myself and handing it off for the spray.

The FJ Sandstorm looks good on them but it's just to bland for my taste.

Hey Streetkill, thanks a bunch it cleaned up real well. I think this is gonna happen!:guitar2:

I think it will fit the 4runner well. They pull off that periwinkle blue color pretty well and the voodoo looks better than that to me. 4runners pull off most any color in my opinion so you should be good. If it turns out to be too much blue then bedlining the bottom part and fenders will cut the blue out a little. I think it could be pretty cool.

one of my friends just had the roof painted on his voodoo blue fj and it looks pretty good being all one color, not my color of choice but I think you should go for it!!
