Vortex and Cops in the city

Hi all
I received the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler today but i just found out today that i can get stopped by the police for a loud muffler? (a cop friend told me)

I want to ask how loud it is?

I live in Chicago Suburbs and drive in the city and i pass through downtown now and then is it loud enough for a cop to notice?
Or if you are driving next to a cop or if he's behind you will he notice?
I usually don't go past 2500 rpm, how does it sound around there?

I've looked at all the Videos and listened to all the Audios, i still can't judge what the noise level will be in real life.

To find out if you can run it - find out what the maximum decibel level of an exhaust can be per the local law. Then, call Cherry Bomb and ask them how many decibels the muffler is rated for on a 4Runner. If it's less than the legal limit, don't sweat it.

OR - you could just install a resonator in the exhaust before the muffler, which will quiet it and mellow the tone.

I wouldnt worry about it at all...in town and stuff it just sounds like a nice deep v8
