So I'm in the top 4 for the dog house we built for the puppies! The website we bought the dog plans off of is having a contest for the best built dog house. I have no idea what the prize is but for me it's really all about just winning. I could care less about the prize.

Hell my dog house is better than that!!

4X8, stud wall construction will insulation in the walls, floor, and attic. Composition roof with 25 year shingles. Two windows. Small A/C unit and small heater, sealed dog door inside full height door for human access, interior is lined with white fiberglass sheeting for easy cleaning. Havent finished painting it yet, but all the trim is on. It has a standard attic too, and the roof pitch and gable ends I made to match our house, and the siding matches the material used around our bay window and one end wall that is not brick, and the paint that I have done is matching paint for our house. It's also mounted on 6" hard plastic caster wheels so we can move it around. One gable end I made removeable with two large magnets and a small handle. You'd never know it was removeable from a distance until you got close to see the handle, and even then you cant tell it's a seperate piece until you remove it. I was right proud of that lil idea. It's the access panel to the attic.

Sad thing is, I hate dogs with a passion. But love the wife. This was the only way I could get her to get those nasty dogs out of our house. Invested over a grand building that dog house. Wife is happy, her mutts are happy, and I'm happy our house no longer smells like rottweiler. :bigok:

3.5' x 5'. It is double walled/insulated, with a linoleum floor, muffin fan, light fixture for heat, and 2 rooms to limit drafts. Total cost was about $170.

Well, it looks like you have a Weimeraner or a Vizsla, which are just about human. My father and I used to raise and train them for hunting and trials. Smart as hell and very personable. The only other dog I have found to bemore intelligent is a poodle, strangely enough...
