VSC & ABS deactivation

This might have been answered somewhere... but I can't find it. Is there a way to deactivate these systems on the 2007 models ?
2Wheel drive or 4Wheel drive Hi/low.

A switch, fuse, etc.

Driving on loose sand with these can be a real pain !

It can take FOREVER to stop the truck on a loose dirt road.

Any help is much appreciated.

On the front of the master cylinder there's a plug, pull it. As you're looking in at the master cylinder it's on the very front and slightly towards the drivers side. It has 2 or 3 wires, I forget. You must shut the car off and replug it to reset the system.

A big disadvantage to doing this (besides the obvious) is you lose the ATRAC (the psuedo, brake activated limited-slip) also.

Another option is here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41357
This option allows you to defeat the VSC while in 4wd HI or LO with the center diff unlocked. (Of course locking the diff defeats the VSC while retaining ATRAC.) It doesn't help in 2wd though:mad: There's no known answer for the VSC off while retaining ATRAC for 2wd yet. It should be possible given the 2wd models have a switch from the factory.

Is that what you were talking about?
