A bad gas cap triggered a CEL which disabled the VSC and TRAC. New gas cap and CEL turned off.
I was going to reset VSC/TRAC with a zero point calibration but it appears to handle better with them off. It seems to have quicker response when accelerating, and tracks tighter and straighter than before.
I'm wondering if a faulty Vehicle Stability Control and/or Traction Control caused the 4Runner to have sloppy handling with constant steering correction? Or maybe a slightly off zero point calibration that never previously triggered the lights?
I like the way it drives now with those systems off (lights on ... see attached pic).
Anyone know? Thoughts?
