VSC not kicking

I have a problem with 07Runner V8 - we had a couple of inches of snow the other day and made a small turn and fish tailed like crazy...luckily I did it on purpose to see what VSC was going to do but nothing it never kicked in or beeped. Then went to a parking lot and spinned like crazy vnc never once kicked in and Diff is not locked.

I know this is cool :banana:in a way I do not have to do VSC mode but again I do not want it disabled forever so that when you needed it's not there.

Any ideas guys?

Does your ABS work normally? Start with checking fuses, especially the big ones under the hood. If you don't have a tester it's sometimes hard to see if one is blown.

edit: TOYLUVA beat me to it.

ABS work fine - I did not check the fuses and do not have a tester. I will check the fuses and see if I can see any blown ones.

Thanks,

Go to a snowy parking lot again. Make the rear end come out and let a donut get started. Now counter steer aggressively against it. VSC should engage.

wow. mine kicks in immediately, we just got 16" of snow and i went around the block and it kicked a tiny but and the VSC kicked right in. either mine is over sensitive or there is a problem with yours.

like the others said check any fuses(are there any that actually control this as it is computer controlled) maybe the computer or some sort of sensor crapped out).

start up - check

Hope I not over simplifying this, but doesn't the car do a check of all those features when you start the car. I would assume it would check something as basic as a fuse?

Sorry, if I am over simplifying this. I may be missing something or a bit ignorant.

The only problem is we only got like 2 inches and it's all gone so cannot really try it again.

Fuses look okay by the naked eye. Any other ideas please or anything else I should check or try? Is there an ECU that maybe if I reset it might come back to life.

Thnx
