VSC Off, VSC TRAC, Check engine lights all lit on dash

Last week, the following dash alarm lights lit up in my son's 2001 Toyota 4Runner SR5:VSC Off, VSC TRAC, Check engine.

Any advice?

Take it to auto zone and let them run the code.

All of the same lights have been on my '01 4Runner for almost a month. I pulled a CEL code P1135. From what I have found on this forums and google searches, replacing my O2 sensors will fix this problem. I am currently waiting for them to be delivered. I think you only need the front bank though if you end up with the same code, but I decided to do both.

I ran out and checked the gas cap - it's good. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll get the codes from Auto Zone... How much were the Oxygen Sensors? Hard to replace? I have very little experience. Don't get me wrong, I change my oil myself but I have limited experience under the hood. I'm more of an electronics guy.

I havn't replaced them yet, hopefully they will get here by this weekend. They dont look too hard to replace though, should not take much time. I will let you know. I got mine on Amazon... saved a bunch of money based on what I have heard they can go for.

OK, thanks. I'll get the part #'s and begin searching Amazon (of course after I confirm thats the problem). Are we talking hundreds of $'s or tens of $'s?

charcoal canister

well it could be the O2 sensor or your charcoal canister. I have the same problem on my 4runner I replaced the gas cap and the O2 sensor still has the code so I did some research on it and chalked it to the charcoal canister this is going to cost you about 340 in just the part and its easy to install. I hope for you its just the O2 sensor but if not here is a website you can get the charcoal canister for a little cheaper than dealership.

Did you ever get this problem fixed? I finally got around to changing my sensors yesterday and now all the dash lights are gone. I cant believe i put the job off for so long... it was so fast and easy.
