VSC/Slip Indicator light always on

After installation of Total Chaos LCA's my slip indicator light is always illuminated. I can not turn off traction control and my DAC will not turn on(not that I ever use it). Do I need a zero point calibration or did something go wrong with the install?

Do the zero point, then troubleshoot if it doesn't fix it.

Also, it's dangerous to drive like this, the VSC can trigger epic ****ery during cornering or triggering a yaw sensor and can make you lose control because the truck doesn't realize what its new "zero" is and will fight it.

It's just the VSC/Slip indicator? Usually people stretch the ABS sensor wires and that can cause a similar issue (but the ABS lamp would be on as well, at least should be.) A ZPC might fix the issue, if it doesn't you'll need to see if the Skid Control ECU has any DTCs stored.

Sounds like a zero point calibration is needed if it just the lights you described. If it is also the ABS and 4x4, then one of the ABS wires is toast.

Is a zero point calibration something that is done in response to symptoms (dash lights), or should it be performed in the same conditions that would require an alignment? (ie: changing the height of the vehicle)

I tried to do the zero point calibration tonight with no luck. The truck would not clear the calibration at all. Did bikstiens and overstretched the abs wire. Replaced it and now the slip indicator light is stuck on. Abs light went off but can’t get the slip light off. HELP

Purchase a Carista OBDII Dongle and the app for your phone, plug it in and it will tell you which wheel has the bad ABS wire.

Or a true OBDII reader- cost a few bucks more.

Tons reasons to own one of these, no longer at the mercy of the dealer telling you whats wrong.

The ABS wire is easy to stretch, did one of mine doing my brakes. Super simple to replace, unplug each end, plug in the new one.
