So I took my truck to toyota to diagnose check engine light and VSC/TRAC OFF lights coming on. They said that bank 2 catalitic converter needs to be replaced. I took it to my mechanic and he replaced the catalitic converter. The check engine light is now gone. However I am still getting the the VSC/TRAC OFF lights. Any ideas on what this could be ? I will take it back late next week when I have some more time. Just wondering if there is something I can do? Or if maybe there is a chance my mechanic messed something up.

Did they clear the codes for it? My VSC TRAC OFF light was on when my engine light came on as well - I was misfiring on number 3 cylinder. They replaced the plug, cleaned the coil, and it runs great. Both lights went off. Without knowing what you drive, do you have the center diff lock button to the left of the steering wheel? If so, make sure you have not pushed it by accident. When pushed, it will display the VSC TRAC OFF light. Also, you do not want to be driving around on the highways with the diffs locked, if that is the case. To disengage, push it and hold it in until the light goes off.

I got lucky for once--- all 3 lights came on suddenly last night- check engine, TRAC OFF, etc. I looked at my gas cap and it was loose, tightened it with the key off, as soon as I turned the truck on, they all shut off! Its normally NEVER that easy for me....
