vsc trac, vsc off lights.... on

so as the title says those two little amber lights are on on my dash.... and i have no idea why or what would cause it. anybody have any ideas?

Do you have a CEL too? Sounds like an emissions problem, can't tell without getting the code read though... I suggest taking it to Autozone or something similar, they'll read your codes for free

ah yes i too have had these problems on mine many of times. Most likely if you haven't done anything to it it is probably your gas cap. did you recently fill up? make sure you get a couple clicks when you tighten it. Another problem for me was after i sprayed my engine down some how some water got in the MAF and fried it. It could be your idle control sensor as well. take it in to auto zone and they'll hook it up for free and tell you whats up. good luck! i hate those stupid lights! it was all because of "user error" and stupidity for me though

well i went into autozone about a week ago, and funny story, apparently there is a new California law saying that they cannot pull codes for you any more, unless its just those guys being ****s... but they also said that since there is no check engine light on, they seem to think that there is something wrong with my traction control, and tell me they cant pull a code if there is no check engine light.

i have a buddy that works at kragen, ill give him a holler too. worst comes to worst ill buy a code reader.

oh, and its these lights have been on throughout multiple trips to the gas station, so i know thats not the problem.

so does anyone know all of the known issues that come with just these two lights on?

if you have the abs light on as well at the vsc and track, then it might just a wire problem

That is the most vague descriptive piece of advice I heard. Usually if the VSC lights are lit they are lit in conjunction with a check engine light. When the check engine light is on, the VSC lights come on (disengaged) as a precautionary measure. I suggest you take your truck to the dealer and have it looked at. They have the $$$ scanners and trained Toyota techs that can diagnose your truck faster than an indie shop let alone an autozone quick scan. Of course if there's something wrong with your traction control it could very well be it's own problems.
