VSC, VSC OFF light, no check engine

So I've been doing some searching on past threads to see if I could find any answers but everyone has a CEL with the VSC, VSC OFF light.

Drove to work today, everything fine, very cold 14 degrees out. Started it up after work, went inside and about 5 minutes later came out and the VSC, VSC OFF lights on, NO CEL. Stoped and got gas and the lights stayed on the whole way home.

Should I try unhooking the battery? No apparent problems with performace. I don't have time to take it in this weekend and have driving to do. Do you think it'll be okay to drive?

Any help would be great!!!!

have you check to make sure your gas cap is locked right ..

Gotta echo that suggestion.

My VSC/VSC OFF lights went on last month. Went to the dealer, expecting something expensive. The tech laughed...he said that my gas cap hadn't been tightened correctly. He tightened it (until you hear the clicks, right?), told me the lights would go off in about 10 days.

He was right.

Did you ever find out what it was?

I have my traction control lights go off like that too sometimes. It'll all light up and I'll try to push the button to turn them on and off again, but nothing. Then when I drive they stay on, until I get to a stop again. I noticed that after I've been at a stop or red light for a long time, all the VSC, ABS and TRAC lights come on but if just keep driving they turn off at my next long stop. So when I was stopped (long light), they turned on and when I got to the next red light, they turned off. I haven't really figured it out, but it seems to go off when I stop again. Does that work for you? Or was it just the gas cap?
