VTC and Check Engine light

2008 Four Runner Sports V-6, started car today and the vehicle traction control and check engine ligh where on all day. I disconnected the battery at night for 15 minutes and if off, back to normal

It's an '08. If it happens again take it in and let the dealer pull a code. Was the gas cap on correctly?

I checked the gas cap and it seems to be locked correctly, but the strange part was that it was perfect yesterday and then sat overnight and in the morning started :driving:

That is odd Well I hope for you it comes back soon and you can get it in to the dealer or doesn't happen again, ever!

I have an 07 V6 and it just did the same thing today. I scheduled it with the dealer for Friday.

I hope it's a warranty fix.

The fix was a replacement of a vacuum line to a canister.

The hose was rubbing against something.
