WAAG front bumper guard for 99 on 98?

The oldest year it says avalible is for a 99-02. Is it possible that it would also fit on a 1998? I know 1999 is the year that started the new bumpers, but they arent that much different in size and shape to me. Has anyone tried this or know if it would work?

If it says it's for the '99+ then you probably will have fitment issues since the '99 bumper is quite a bit different.

There will be a huge gap. The 99' bumpers are longer....has a longer nose, if you will.

Okay, thank you. So i'm assuming this would be a bad investment. That's a shame, I'd really like to have a front bumper guard such as this one, rather than a full Grille Guard. (Saves money, plus i like the look of the Front Bumper guard more)
