hey i'm just looking to see if anyone has any experience on this.
I have a 98 4runner, 3.4L, trd supercharged. stock injectors, TRD FMU, innovate AFR.
I installed the walbro 190LPH pump 2 days ago and now there is a whining sound that i can hear when i'm in the drivers seat at idle, if i rev it up it goes away but comes right back once the throttle is off.
the sound is coming from what seems like the firewall, it's not the pump itself. and if i'm under the hood i can't hear the sound at all. when i'm sitting there, the sound is coming from right in front of me, like it's in the dash.
i'm thinking it's the trd FMU.
I installed the pump in anticipation of putting supra injectors and a controller on it to squeeze some more power out of it.
it runs and drives fine, just makes this new sound.
can i take the fmu out? what is the common setup with bigger injectors/pump etc as far as a pressure regulator goes?
