I am in metro Atlanta and there is no shortage of places that will install leather. Some use Katzkin and some use Classic Soft. Which is better. What should the total price be? All quotes (4) have been between $995 and $1050. These do not include heated seats. That adds another $400 (200 per seat). Is this pretty much the going rate? I'd sure like to save a bit!

I did some research into aftermarket leahter and those prices are almost exactly what I heard. I don't really know which one is better... I know at few guys on here have used classic soft.

those are around the prices that I was quoted for leather seats by a katzkin installer. The only way that I can see you saving anymore is if you buy the leather and install it yourself. . .

i installed leather on my truck and i regret it.
i paid $850 the leather it is made by (marc) they make leather jackets, anyways the cloth was way more comfortable
wasent cold in da winter and sticky in the summer
i did it because the leather installer is a close friend of mine but i regret it
if u really want classy look but wanna keep comfortable
look into wet okole

they make a perfect fit custom to your truck check out the site

maybe its just me, but I do NOT like the Wet Okoles covers. I love my leather kit I put in. Got it off Ebay for $450. . installed it myself, had to get a new set of hog rings. Also got the seat heaters from MNR Electronics. Total i put in around $750 and a weekend's worth of work. I couldn't be happier.
I did it alone, using only the info i found on here. Search for "Leather Seat Cover" or something close and you'll see a couple of threads about it. I had to buy some new hog rings and a pair of Hog Ring pliers, and i devoted about the whole weekend, and a 6 pack of beer each day. I took my time, BS'd with the neighbors, you know, just relaxed and did it. It was "challenging" just because of the tightness of hte leather. I found if I put them in a bin on top of the water heater, the next day it was MUCH easier. I dunno, its up to you. . you could always just pull the front passenger seat, try it yourself, and if it doesn't work out. . throw it in the back, and take your kit to an installer.
