Want to fix up my 1990

I've got a 1990 with a v-6 and want to make some improvements. Firstly, there is a definate lack of power when going up hills. Is it possible or desireable to put in a hotter chip? I've got the stock exhause and it's all pretty new. But perhaps I should go the higher performance route?

Also, I live in snow country and want to put on some larger, more aggerssive tires. What size can I go up to without a lift kit?

Otherwise, I'm going to replace the rear springs and ? to get the rear end to stop sagging.

Any and all suggestions are most appreciated :=)

Im in the same boat. Engine tranny is coming soon. Also tires and probably a lift.

I have a 92 YOTA. I was told that the best lift out there is OME. I haven't found a good chip kit yet, but the K&N air filter gaveit a little pep and a deeper sound.

Larger tires is going make your lack of power even greater, unless you regear. You can probably fit 32's w/o a lift, although they may rub a little.

yeah, i've upgraded to 32' on my 93'. i haven't got any noticeable decrease in power. as for the snow and the getting up hills, i usually have to shift to 2nd gear too.

Do not waste money on the stock motor. If you want power swap.
