Want to put a lift on the 4runner

All right guys i need some help i want to put a suspension lift on the truck by the way its a 86 but not sure where to go or what really to look for i want to put 35s under it im runnin a 3inch bodylift on 33x11.50s now it is what was on it when i bought it but im not sure if the 35s will be to big with out having to do a motor swap or the gearing any suggestions thanks

I think you are gonna have to regear at the very minimum to run 35's with the 22RE. As far as a lift, IMO I would drop down to a 1" BL and go with a 4" susention lift from OME (w/OME Shocks) or Alcan (w/ Bilstien Shocks).

Honestly thats what i was thinkin of taking the bl completly off and put a 4 inch lift on it and i was was thinkin the same about the gears i thought the 35s would be to much thanks alot

to get 4 inches of lift on the front of an 86 your gonna need a drop bracket. In my opinion the cost is so close to the cost of doing a SAS the kit from Trail-Gear is pretty good. Don't know the level of your fab skills but if you can weld your good to go. 22re with 35's I would regear to 4:88's. Good luck.

i like the sound of that is there a web site to look at that sas kit i do have fab skills and know how to weld pretty good so that wouldnt be a big problem thanks for the info i really just dont know were to look for the kits

the most economical and complete kit is from www.trial-gear.com their quality is good for a mass manufacturer (I own some of their stuff) really quite easy to do and they have great instructions. For better quality and a little more money is Marlin Crawler, Inc. | Originator of Rock Crawling (since 1994) who is the king of toy rockcrawling if you want the best I would piece a kit together using a trail-gear or sky manufacturing front cross-memeber and then getting alcan springs with marlins forged cross over steering or using trail-gears 6shooter cross over steering. but really any of them are good just levels of money and quality. good luck. just know that modifying quickly becomes a sickness :banana::banana:
