WANTED - Simple & Cheap iPod Solution for '98

Hey!
Did some forum searching and haven't found exactly what I was looking for so I thought I'd toss this out:

1998 Limited, w/ the stock CD/Tape/Radio in dash, and 6 disk stock changer in the rear. I bought a couple of those FM broadcast things and they SUCK for audio quality... even on my cheap 4runner stock speakers they stink. I bought a $10 tape to head-jack converter and that sounds decent. Unfortunately, a tape adapter didn't look cool when they were first introduced, and look really stupid in 2007.

I want something simple to integrate my iPod into my factory stereo. Anyone hacked the 6 disk changer signal to hardware an aux input? I don't even really need to have power to the iPod, just the signal.

Anyway, I'll toss it out there and see what you guys have for ideas!

Just go to best buy and buy the ipod cable that hooks up to the back of the stereo, and then have them install it or take it to a stereo place to install it for you if you don't trust those idiots (which I don't, they don't know what the hell they are doing.)

I had one on the stereo that I installed on my old explorer, but my 4runner came with the AUX input inside the middle glove compartment, so I just had to buy the cable for it.

AUX Input is by far the only way to go if you want good sound quality. I do not know if the stereo in the 1998 4Runner has the ability to do this; if it can't I would just go and get a cheap head unit with aux inputs.
