wanted to kill teenagers today

So, while I was visiting friends on post yesterday, a couple of little dinglefritz teenagers decided it was a great idea to run up the side of the street my 4runner was parked on and start tagging cars and houses with spray paint. Due to the color and the lateness in the evening, I didnt see that they'd gotten the rear drivers side passenger door on the runner, however I did see it this morning. After spending an hour and a half filling out a police report, I luckily took it down to my toyota dealers body shop and they were able to remove it with some stuff for free. Yota looks good as new again, however if I catch those little turds, it's on.

What I was told today was the little snots have at least 21 counts of destruction of private property, theft of the paint cans, they found the empty cans, and they've lifted prints, and have a pretty good idea of who it was. Hopefully they come to justice and realize how stupid it is to run amock with a spray can.

as a prior gen Ft. Campbell punk i can say that is really out of control. Mp's are useless though, many not far removed from the age of kids doing the vandalism. im glad the dealer was helpful, probably used rubbing compound and clay bar to get it off. the military puts the dealer's kids (and my best friends) through college and in nice homes, so its good to see them keep up the good treatment

my antics werent bad, just skateboarding on the back40 loading docks and terrorizing Werner park. my father would destroy me if I got anywhere near this type of behavior.

sounds like these kids could use some time in service to realign their senses

actually its the NPI (civilian cops) who've done the investigating.

i watched the guy use it, it was some all purpose cleaner stuff, then he put some glaze or whatever and buffed it. it made me happy.


this is also why my hubby and i do not live on post...our neighbors love us (and some are probably terrified)

I feel your pain, I bought my '04 new off the lot, had if for 3 days, DAYS, and some deuce bag keyed the entire passenger side and hood (along with all the other cars parked on that side of the street). At the time I was working a 5 AM - 2 PM shift and didn't notice until I went out for my lunch break the next day.

Needless to say I was supper pissed - it still get's me mad...

I hope they find those kids and press charges, make them think twice before doing it again!

as a former professional Detailer at a Jaguar, Lincoln, Volvo, Ford, Mazda dealer. I have also managed the biggest detail shop / car-washes in my area. The chemical we would use for stuff like this was called Acrasol (my spelling might be off) and came from a pro detail supply source, but it would do wonders. It would take anything off down to the clear. Then I would bet he just hit it with some glaze wax to protect the area.

Zaino is the way to go on car waxes, then there is like 10 others under that one.

LADYWOLF- I am extremely sorry to hear about this. Those kids should be punished!

I do not mean to hijack this thread but..the Zaino products do look good, however, it looks like you would need like a bunch of their products in order to do it right...is this true? What Zaino products would I absolutely need to have to polish my truck and protect it well? I use Meguirs stuff and it does seem to do the job too

Man that sucks, but I'm glad the detailer got it out. Shame how some kids behave these days.

The first week I had my new 4runner I was at my brothers house and his neighbor comes out, cuts his grass and then his wife takes the blower and blows the sand all over my new ride. When I came out I looked at them and they just gave me this dirty look and walked inside. Two days later their son comes out with his basket ball and starts playing around my truck again. Wouldn't you know the kid losses control of his ball, and "bam" right on my hood. Luckily there was no dent, but I just walked over and told the kid I just bought it and he needs to be careful. You know the brat didn't even say sorry!

Also never underestimate the value of a good coat of wax. I used to use Zaino, but now I have discovered Klasse AIO and the sealer and love it.

Just today I had to wipe chewing gum that was strung on my rear bumper, I guess I ran over it in the parking lot somewhere.

keep all receipts and when they get caught sue the parents for all damages.

i know theres a bunch of folks who will be, however if they are minors, pretty much nothing will happen, however their parents will lose their rights to live in on-post housing, and be forced to move out on the economy. it just depends on if they catch em, and how upst some of the folks who got tagged were.

i was lucky, my dealer did it for free, so i was only out the fuel to drive the 15 minutes down there.

Today's late teen/early 20 year olds which could be my kids but it just seems respect simply isn't there as much with each generation it seems and it keeps getting worse with every generation which makes me happy I should be dead before we completly destroy ourselves.

Of course we might be moving faster with each gen too. :wow:

i disagree. just because i am 21 i am automatically a dirtbag teenager?

there are 21 year olds out there that dont party, have respect for others, and mainly have respect for themselves. i work hard for everything i own, my parents taught me that if you want something, you earn it. which i thank them for daily, you have more enjoyment out of it if you yourself worked you ass off to get it. maturity is key.
