thats a little high. but around here they are pretty cheap. i got mine for $900 and mine just about looked like that except not a rebuilt engine. that would be a nice rig except for the auto in it...... sad day. not to hard to swap it for a 5 speed though. i would see if you can talk him down at all.

I live right around your area man. I was just rock climbing in ramona yesterday. Would have to tell you that you can get a MUCH better deal on a 4runner. Granted this one is really clean and low miles with lots of goodies. but,that thing is pricey and he wont accept lowballers. So, wait for him not to sell it and lowball himself.It should be MINT for that price. And you do NOT want an automatic 22re... Not around here with all these hills.
BTW...sold AS IS means it is not currently passing smog... Notice there is an exhaust and egr problem.. that the "PREVIOUS OWNER" told him about... How long has he had this thing? Why reselling so fast? Why would he keep it in a condition unable to pass smog if he were gonna keep driving it? There is a reason why HE bought it and is flipping it...ALL these questions i ask myself and more when buying an older truck.
Just my opinion but, I say pass... YOU have a VERY VERY good selection of these trucks out here. Let me know what your looking for *KEY points; and I can kinda help ya find one.

Just found these guys.
higher miles but new motor, 5 speed tho. and passes smog with flying colors ready to go. little high on price tho (even though some of it is understandable.. still high IMHO... this thing seems to be in a better condition than the one you posted even though it has more miles... this one is nice and has some real nice mods.

built a bit, straight axles instead of ifs. nice truck, but also spendy. i wouldn't get it cuz it is pricey... but ya never know what may tickle your fancy.
