Wanted to say Hi from Tx

Just wanted to say hi, and show off my new 3rd Gen 4runner. I just picked her up early Feb 2010. 2001 Limited 4WD she has 171K miles but is in good condition. She just made the 1300 mile trip from Texas to Cali a few days ago with no problems. Just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the great info you guys have on this forum. She is all stock for now untill I get back from Iraq at the end of the year then the mods with follow. Here are a few pics from the trip.

Hi there. I am also from Abilene. I live in Clyde now, just 12 miles away. You should yell at me some time, we could do some wheeling.

Hey, sounds great. Been waiting FOREVER for some one in my area to get on this site. Hopefully I'll have my locker installed by then. I have some really awesome trails in San Angelo, about an hour and a half from Abilene. The ones around Abilene are mostly good for learning a few offroad basics. Nothing really challenging. That's why I go to SA.

If I might make one suggestion: you might consider removing those running boards and putting them in the garage or selling them. You're bound to destroy them if you go where I go. That is usually our first mod around here.:dancin:

By SA I meant San Angelo. I am currently working down in the Iraan area, about 235 miles west of you. Feel free to PM me with your contact info and I will yell at you next time I go to San Antonio.

Maybe we could agree on a meeting place and run some trails.

And I can take the running boards off when I get back. I will have to put some Sliders on the list. They make some with steps dont they? My wife is only 5 foot.
 
There are a bunch of folks up here in the DFW area. I travel all around the state pretty regularly. Feel free to send me a PM if you find yourself in my neck of the woods. I also try to keep my ear to the ground regarding upcoming wheeling events and philanthropic events.

I appreciate your service, and I am happy to render any help I can to those who defend my country. Let me know if you need help with anything.

Mr. Leary I would love to learn more and get started off roading. I am stock now but when i get back at the end of the year I will look at getting a lift and tires. I think I will be going with Sonora Steel's either the 99 spring kit or the 7.2 I think it is. I dont want to lift her to high as she will be my DD.
 
Hello and welcome! I am also located near San Antonio, TX (Hill Country). Let us all know when your available to ride the hill country. :-) My 4Runner is also 100% stock but I love to ride.
